From connecting characters to manufacturing and trading
EVE Miner Hub (EMH) collects the mining ledger of all connected characters, values mining output, calculates reprocessing and compression, helps plan planetary and regular manufacturing, compares markets, and displays fleet statistics in OBS.
All in-game dates and periods in the service use EVE Time (UTC). Data comes through the official EVE ESI API, and characters are connected only through EVE SSO.
1. Quick start
- Create an account. Register a local EMH account with a username, email, and password.
- Add your characters. Click “Add Character” in the dashboard and approve mining-ledger access on the official EVE SSO page. Repeat for every mining character.
- Keep playing normally. EMH fetches mining-ledger changes automatically. Active characters are normally checked every 5 minutes and other characters less frequently, so data is not instant.
- Create a widget token. The dashboard uses it for combined statistics, OBS, and the external mining API.
- Reauthorize for markets. In “Stations and Trade Routes,” click “Enable Markets and Auto-Discovery.”
An old EVE token does not receive new permissions automatically. Do not delete the character: reauthorization keeps its mining history and adds read-only access to structures, exact structure markets, and wallet transactions.
2. Account and connected characters
Adding a character normally
The “Add Character” action requests only esi-industry.read_character_mining.v1. It allows EMH to read the mining ledger. EMH never receives your EVE password, controls ships or assets, or performs actions on behalf of the pilot.
One EVE character can belong to only one local EMH account. If the character is already connected to another user, the service will not transfer it automatically.
Main character and alts
Click “Set Main Character” next to the add button and select your main. The main character card receives a blue border and a “Main” badge; every other card is marked “Alt.”
The main character is the preferred EVE token for shared account features, such as reading accessible structures and their markets. If the main lacks a required scope or ACL, EMH safely tries an eligible alt. This setting does not restrict mining statistics: the ledger is still collected and combined for every connected character.
Market reauthorization
To load exact Upwell order books and discover markets automatically, open Price Analysis → Stations and Trade Routes and click “Enable Markets and Auto-Discovery.” The read-only permissions allow EMH to:
- resolve the names and systems of accessible structures;
- read the exact order book of an accessible player structure;
- read wallet transactions to discover market location IDs the character has already encountered.
If access is split across multiple characters, reauthorize each relevant character. Optional ESI scopes for assets, personal orders, or corporation structures are used only when already present on a token and are not part of the required core permission set.
Status and management
- Active — the token can be refreshed and used with ESI.
- Token expired — click “Refresh Token” and complete EVE SSO again.
- Drag character cards to change their display order.
- Click a character in Mining Analysis to filter the report to that pilot.
- Deleting a character removes its related history from EMH. This cannot be undone, so use it carefully.
EVE tokens are stored encrypted. Authorization happens through official EVE SSO. Never share a widget/API URL: its token grants access to the account's mining statistics.
3. Mining Analysis
Filters
Select all characters or one pilot, then choose today, yesterday, week, month, all time, a specific date, or a custom range. Period boundaries use UTC.
Main metrics
- Volume, m³ — combined raw mining volume.
- Ore value — mining output valued with current or historical pricing depending on the selected period.
- Quantity — total mined units across the selected characters.
- Characters and ore types — detailed quantity, volume, and ISK breakdowns.
Compressed mining output
A separate section shows the potential compression result for ore, ice, and gas: compressed units, resulting volume, and current value of published compressed types. This is a market estimate, not a check of your live inventory.
If a mined type has no published compressed variant in the current SDE, it is excluded from compressed totals and reported as a missing mapping.
Reprocessing
EMH provides three built-in scenarios:

Ore is processed only in full batches. A remainder smaller than the batch size is not reprocessed. Yield is applied to all full batches in the stack and the final output is rounded down. The table includes quantity, volume, and value for minerals, ice products, or moon materials.
Current periods use current prices. A fully historical report shows the date used to value reprocessed materials.
Fleet ISK/hour
This metric is available for Today and Yesterday. EMH derives activity intervals from mining-ledger changes, clips them to UTC-day boundaries, and merges overlapping intervals across characters. Parallel windows therefore do not multiply the fleet's astronomical time.
ISK/hour = period mining value / merged fleet activity time
This is an estimate based on ESI update ticks, not an in-client stopwatch.
Ore ranking and daily trends
- What's Most Profitable to Mine ranks ore by ISK/m³ after the Tatara scenario and projects the result onto the volume of your selected mining output.
- Daily Trends shows changes in volume, value, and ISK/hour over longer periods.
By ore and by solar system
Use the “By Ore / By System” switch to change how the same filtered data is presented. The system report includes its share of volume and ISK, first/last mining date, active days, and ore composition. Location data is available only inside the authenticated dashboard and is not exposed through the public widget API.
4. Planetary Planner
The Planetary Planner estimates which complete PI chains are available in a selected solar system and which product has the highest expected gross value.
- Select a shared “All at” skill level from 1 to 5. It controls colony count and the estimated Command Center profile.
- Enter at least three characters of a solar-system name and select an exact result.
- Review the plan: planets, available P0 resources, best chain, alternatives, and the P4 → P0 production pyramid.
- Expand “Recipe chain” on a P1–P4 product to see direct inputs, the nested chain, and total RAW per unit.
Reading the forecast
EMH evaluates only complete chains for which every required P0 resource exists in the system. Current PI commodity estimates and a modeled weekly/monthly output are used for comparison.
The model does not know your extractor heads, hotspots, route lengths, depletion, POCO tax, imports/exports, or real factory utilization. Weekly P0 output is an explained heuristic. Use the result to compare chains, not as guaranteed income.
5. Manufacturing
The Manufacturing planner expands a manufacturing blueprint down to raw materials, provides explicit Build/Buy/Stock decisions, and connects the calculation to your mining ledger.
5.1. Product and series
- Enter at least two characters of a blueprint or product name and select a result.
- Set the number of root-blueprint runs.
- Choose ME/TE. Quick presets are T1 10/20, invented T2 2/4, and new BPO/special BPC 0/0.
- Set separate component ME/TE when necessary.
- Enter a fixed blueprint/BPC cost for the complete series: contract, invention/copying, or an allocated BPO cost.
5.2. Exact facility settings
Open “Exact Manufacturing Settings” and configure the real scenario:
- NPC station, Raitaru, Azbel, or Sotiyo;
- high-sec, low-sec, or null-sec/wormhole;
- separate T1/T2 material and time rigs;
- BX-801, BX-802, or BX-804;
- Industry and Advanced Industry;
- manufacturing system and its current Manufacturing Cost Index;
- facility tax, sales tax, broker fee, and other expenses;
- Alpha/Omega status and the Exordium regional surcharge.
For every job that is actually built, EMH includes the system-index EIV portion, facility tax, the 4% EIV SCC surcharge, the 0.25% EIV Alpha surcharge when applicable, and the 5% EIV Exordium surcharge when selected. Rigs affect materials or time but do not replace facility tax.
The chosen rig is assumed to match the complete calculated chain. If real components use different structures or specialized rigs, calculate those stages separately.
5.3. Materials from your mining output
Select Today, Week, Month, or All Time. EMH virtually reprocesses the corresponding mining ledger through the 90.63% Tatara scenario.
- Enable “Use Mining Estimate as Material Stock” to use this potential stock in the selected blueprint.
- Click “Find Best Options” to find market-relevant products whose full chains can be covered by those materials.
A recommendation includes the product, quantity, economic profit, margin, job installation, bottleneck, and a current Jita liquidity signal. Materials are not free: their Jita Sell value is treated as opportunity cost. This shows the additional value manufacturing may create compared with selling the reprocessed materials.
Ore already sold or consumed is not deducted automatically. Every recommended product independently uses the available stock; the list is not a jointly optimized portfolio. Unknown contract-blueprint cost is excluded from recommendations, so add it after selecting a product.
5.4. Build / Buy / Stock
Each material has an explicit source:
- Use Stock — consume mining-derived and/or manually entered stock.
- Build — expand the child blueprint and include its materials, time, and installation cost.
- Buy in Jita — buy the entire requirement at Jita Sell without consuming this type from stock.
Changing the source recalculates the chain automatically. “Combined Base Materials” shows the complete expansion of built components into non-manufacturable inputs before stock is deducted.
5.5. Reading the result

If Jita Sell is missing, a positive ESI global average is used only as a clearly labeled estimate. If no price exists, profit is hidden as incomplete. Jita Buy is never replaced with an average price.
5.6. Model limitations
The planner does not import live assets, owned blueprints and their actual ME/TE, invention/reactions, personal skills, or parallel slots. Logistics can be included under Other Expenses. The result helps compare scenarios but cannot guarantee a sale at the current price.
6. Price Analysis, stations, and trade routes
6.1. Material charts
Select Ore, Minerals, Ice, Gas, Moon Materials, or PI. Filter the catalogue by name or navigate it with the keyboard. The Ore category includes the compressed counterparts of the mined ore, ice, and gas types. A dedicated badge identifies them; the price, icon, chart, and trade route use the compressed item's real type ID and order book rather than a converted price of the uncompressed source. A newly connected compressed type may initially show one current candle, after which normal price updates build its daily OHLC history. The selected type provides:
- 1D — daily OHLC candles;
- 1W — weekly aggregation;
- 1M — monthly aggregation.
The base current value is the Jita 4-4 mid-price:
(maximum Jita Buy + minimum Jita Sell) / 2
If only one market side exists, that side is used. If Jita has no orders, an ESI global-average fallback is used where appropriate.
6.2. Adding markets
- Reauthorize a character through “Enable Markets and Auto-Discovery.”
- Enter at least three characters of a solar-system name and select an exact result.
- Open the station field. EMH combines NPC stations, public market structures, and private candidates found in wallet transactions.
- Select a location and click “Add Station.” Up to 30 markets can be saved.
For an unknown selective-ACL structure, paste an EVE showinfo link or numeric structure ID. The reference is sent in a POST body, after which the server validates metadata, system, and access with your token. Free text is not treated as a selected station.
6.3. Order source
- NPC region — public regional orders for an NPC station.
- Public region — an allowed public fallback for a proven public Upwell market.
- Exact structure — the authenticated exact order book of a player structure.
- Unavailable — market scope or ACL cannot provide the private book; EMH does not disguise this as an empty market.
6.4. Jump Freighter route
Select a material on the chart, enter JF capacity, and set the tax/expense share. EMH calculates both directions and two trading methods independently:
- Jita → station, instant: buy from Jita Sell and sell to Buy orders at the selected station;
- Jita → station, own orders: estimate acquisition at current Jita Buy and listing at the station's current Sell;
- station → Jita, instant: buy from the station's Sell orders and sell to Jita Buy;
- station → Jita, own orders: estimate acquisition at the station's current Buy and listing at current Jita Sell.
Instant scenarios walk through real source Sell and destination Buy order depth; quantity is constrained by both books, JF capacity, and unit volume. Own-order scenarios estimate the full selected load using current max Buy/min Sell references, but existing Buy volume is not available supply, Sell volume does not guarantee demand, and queue/fill time is unknown. Profit after expenses is revenue × (1 − expenses %) − purchase cost; the UI also shows load, purchase cost, revenue, and margin.
Fuel, collateral, cyno chain, risk, pilot time, and price movement in transit are not modeled separately. Include them in the expense percentage. The tool calculates the selected item and saved markets; it does not automatically scan every item and station pair.
7. OBS overlay and themes
Setup
- Click “Generate Token” in the OBS Widget section.
- Copy the Full or Compact URL.
- Add a Browser Source in OBS Studio and paste the URL.
- Set the browser-source size to match the selected theme width.
Full mode includes characters; Compact hides them. The main figure is the current compressed mining value, while raw ore value remains a secondary line. The overlay refreshes automatically; the default interval is 180 seconds.

Themes
Built-in presets include Standard, High-sec, Low-sec, Null-sec, Ice, and Gas. Create custom themes with width, padding, radius, background/opacity, border, colors, text sizes, and an allowed font family.
The normal URL uses the active theme. “Copy URL” on a theme card creates a fixed-theme link that keeps that design even after another active theme is selected.
Token management
- Regenerate — all old OBS and API URLs stop working immediately.
- Revoke — disable widget/API access until a new token is generated.
Anyone who receives it can read the account's combined mining statistics. Do not expose the complete URL in screenshots, chats, or logs. Solar-system mining locations are not returned through this token.
8. Public integration API
A ready-to-use mining JSON API URL is shown next to OBS in the dashboard. It can power Discord bots, Google Sheets, custom dashboards, and other read-only integrations.
Basic format: /api/mining/<token>?period=week
Main parameters
period:today,yesterday,week,month,all,range, or aYYYY-MM-DDdate;character_id: filter by a character belonging to the token owner;date_fromanddate_to: boundaries forperiod=range.
Response
The response contains characters, ores, totals, compressed output, all three reprocessing scenarios, and—where applicable—ISK/hour, ore ranking, and daily trends. Solar-system location breakdown is intentionally absent and remains available only inside the session-authenticated dashboard.
The API is rate limited. Excessive requests return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. Treat the URL as a bearer secret; there is no additional login layer above the token.
9. Time, prices, and data updates
- EVE Time / UTC. Mining dates, ticks, price history, and filters are not converted to a local timezone. Activity after your local midnight may still belong to the previous UTC date.
- Mining ledger. EMH keeps accumulated local history and does not delete old records merely because they leave the current ESI window.
- Frequency. Active characters are polled more often, but ESI cache, cron timing, and token status can delay display.
- Jita mid. Base valuation uses max Buy and min Sell at Jita 4-4. If one side is missing, the available side is used; with no orders, a labeled global-average fallback may apply.
- Historical valuation. Past reports attempt to use the nearest stored price not later than the mining date. Potential compressed output uses current compressed-type prices.
- Incomplete pricing. A zero or missing price must not be read as a free item. Manufacturing labels fallback/unavailable sources and hides incomplete profit.
10. Troubleshooting
A character is connected but mining is missing
Check token status, the selected UTC period, and whether a widget token exists. Wait for the next ESI polling cycle. The mining ledger is not updated instantly by ESI.
The dashboard shows no mining statistics
Combined mining statistics require at least one character and a generated widget token. Create the token in the OBS/API section.
A structure is missing or its exact market is unavailable
Click “Enable Markets and Auto-Discovery” and reauthorize a character with docking/ACL access. If the structure has not appeared in the public catalogue or wallet transactions, paste its EVE showinfo link/ID. EMH authorization cannot bypass missing in-game ACL.
Manufacturing reports incomplete pricing
An input or product has neither a Jita order nor an allowed average price. Review marked rows, item liquidity, and manual blueprint cost. EMH deliberately does not treat an unknown price as zero.
Mining stock is larger than my real inventory
It is derived from the mining ledger for the selected period. Sales and material consumption are not deducted because this is not ESI Assets. Choose a more suitable period or adjust the scenario manually.
OBS is stale or shows an old design
Check the URL, refresh interval, and Browser Source cache. Replace the link if the token was regenerated. For a fixed-theme URL, make sure the custom theme was not deleted.
The Planetary Planner seems too optimistic
The comparison uses a P0-capacity heuristic and does not know hotspots, depletion, layout, or POCO tax. Compare it with your actual colony performance.
Final checklist
- All mining characters are connected and have active tokens.
- At least one suitable character is reauthorized for markets.
- A widget token exists and its URL is kept secret.
- The selected period has been checked against UTC.
- Manufacturing uses real ME/TE, facility, system, taxes, and blueprint cost.
- Mining-derived stock is not treated as live ESI Assets.
- Fuel, risk, and time are manually included in route expenses.
